What You Can Expect
Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. From whatever direction you arrive in Šiauliai, you are sure to see its 70 meter tall graceful white tower. Bay windows on the main facade, and churchyard gate towers with firing holes, give the impression of a defensive fortress.
Chaim Frenkel Villa Museum. The palace was built by major industrialist, Chaim Frenkel, in 1908, who, in the late 19th century opened one of the largest and most modern leather processing plants and footwear factories in then Tsarist Russia in the city of Šiauliai.
Cents Room. The Cents Room was officially inaugurated on February 16, 2015, commemorating the Day of Lithuanian Independence. The attendees tied golden ribbons around the towns and cities marked on the map of Lithuania and presented a Cross of Vytis composed of silver Litas coins which functioned during the interwar period. The Cents Room was installed using 157.130 coins, total value – 3 463.69 LT (1003.15 €).
Photography Museum. The only art and technology of photography museum in Lithuania. A modern gallery, educational studio and photo laboratory, reading room and information center, souvenir and publications shop are established in reconstructed museum. Outdoor roof terrace and city panoramic view with "camera obscura" is available.
